What UCMAS develops
UCMAS (Universal Concepts of Mental Arithmetic Systems) is an international mental arithmetic program that uses the abacus to develop concentration, memory and speed of thought.
Children begin with a physical abacus and gradually learn to calculate through mental visualization. The process builds accuracy, confidence and flexible thinking.
The program supports school mathematics without replacing it, helping children strengthen learning skills that are useful across subjects.
